We are experts at the dirtier, more difficult jobs - we have improved our team leadership and have incentives to keep our sites tidier!

Almost every house in Taupiri is now on a main sewer system bypassing all the existing septic tanks.
As we approached the end of this massive contract that started in September 2006 we are thrilled with how our team had grown, while maintaining quality.

The key to the success of the job has been maintaining good communication between all parties - Auckland Consultants, Council Representatives, Residents and our team while also advancing the works programme with variations and extras.

Late May 08 to present $160,000 900mm dia Helcor Outlet pipe fed with a 5m wide rip rap swale drain and entailed a timber retaining wall and outlet structure into the Waikato River including Reno Mattresses.
   
Running on time. Within budget. Full Compliance to Waikato District Council specifications and resource consent.
University of Waikato Service Tunnel Extension

Late Dec 07 to Early Feb 08 $350,000 2m x 2m Box Service Tunnel at depths of 5m under numerous services and heavy pedestrian access. The project was in two stages.

Stage 2 was held up pending a funding decision by client. Final cost within budget. Full Compliance to building code inspections and contract specifications.

Hamilton North Networks
May 06 to Apr 07 $1.7m Large and deep sewer and stormwater manholes. 2250m dia uPVC SN16 sewer pipe. A rising main was added to the project.
Traffic control to level 1 and reinstatement of road.
Some of the stages involved dewatering and connecting to existing lines.
New Subdivision connections.

4th portion of project was put on hold during a redesign by others. Running under budget Full Compliance To HCC Development Manual.  COPTTM  independent visual pressure test.
Waikato District  Council

Taupiri Wastewater Reticulation
September 06 to July 07 $3.7m 5 Pump stations, 5700 metres of uPVC sewers, 500 metres of directional drilling, 2700 metres of rising mains & 120 manholes.
Traffic Management.
Connecting to existing sewer


Project on time. Change to Project ran over due to variations. Under budget despite extra variations. Full Compliance to WDC standards and observed by Building Inspector and Independent Consultant. (GHD)
Henry Walker Eltin Contracting Ltd

Awaroa 4 Coal Haul Road Rotowaro


Mid January to July 2005 $775,000 Sub contract to supply and install concrete pipe 450 to 2550 diameter.  Manholes 1050-2050 diameter. Retention ponds, riprapped stream and water channels 4.5 km of subsoils. Some of the pipelines were in swampy high water tabled areas. 3 weeks over time.  Principle had a 3 week strike & we were refused site access. Project within budget despite many variations Full Compliance to specifications and tested by Independent Consultant.
Cambridge Construction Company

The Base Stage 1
August 04 to July 2005 Charge up Sub-contracted to install Pump Station 2m dia x 6m deep  1200 dia stormwater, sewer to depths of 6 metres.  Watermain 250mm dia.
Some of the pipelines were constructed in extremely high water tables that required double well pointing to enable pipelaying.

Project completed on time. Project maintained within budget and profit Full Compliance to HCC Development Manual and ISO Quality Control.

Far Eastern Interceptor Stage 5 Huntington to Wairere


April 04 to August 04 $340,000    Measure and value contract to lay 1050 dia RCRRJ Class Z Sulphate Resistant Pipe.  Depths between 5.5-7.7m.
Construction included connection to rising main.
This project was as much an earthworks project as it was a pipelaying contract.
One week over time due to inclement weather Over budget due to a lot more unsuitable material disposed and replaced than planned Full Compliance to HCC Development Manual and Independent Pressure and Compaction Tests.
Matamata Piako District Council

Gilchrist Street Sewer Upgrade
Feb 04 to 31st March 04 $151,950 Measure and value contract for the supply, construction and reinstatement of sewer.
Project included traffic control, laying and reinstatement of 472m of 150 dia SN16 uPVC pipe in road and road reserves.  Six manholes ranging from 1m-3m.
Temporary Traffic Management Level 1.


Project completed on time. $22,500 over budget due to a lot more unsuitable bulk backfill replaced than planned. Full Compliance with Contract Quality Plan and COPTTM and Pressure Test.
Hamilton City Council

Seddon Rd 225mm Wastewater Main
Jan 04 to Feb 04 $138,059 plus $30,900 extension Measure and value contract to supply and lay 225 dia Vitclay & 150 uPVC along Seddon Rd outside the Waikato Stadium up to 5 metres deep.
Construction included connection to Pump Station.
Temporary Traffic Management Level 1 without a single complaint.

One week ahead of time including extension work. Contract over initial budget due to contract length being extended. Full Compliance to HCC Development Manual and Independent Pressure Test.
